When the founding team behind Global Traffic Group approached Graphos in 2003, the company had just secured its very first contract.

At the time, Global was focused on automated traffic enforcement, providing turnkey photo radar systems that helped municipalities improve roadway safety through camera enforcement, ticket processing, and traffic data collection.

What stood out immediately was the ambition behind the business.

The company was already thinking far beyond enforcement hardware. Even then, the founder saw an opportunity to build a vertically integrated traffic technology company capable of designing its own systems, developing its own software, and ultimately helping communities better understand and manage roadway behaviour.

What followed has been a long-term partnership helping support that evolution from startup to internationally recognized traffic safety and traffic intelligence provider.

Building the Strategic Foundation

From the very beginning, positioning was essential.

Traffic enforcement is a politically sensitive and highly scrutinized category. Public trust, credibility, and professionalism are essential.

We worked closely with Global’s leadership team to help shape how the company would present itself to municipalities, transportation leaders, enforcement agencies, and infrastructure stakeholders.

As the company grew, the positioning continued to mature with it.

What began as a traffic enforcement provider expanded into a broader traffic intelligence and roadway safety platform powered by:

Evolving the Original Brand Identity

We designed Global Traffic Group’s original logo and visual identity during the company’s earliest stages.

At the time, Global was focused on establishing strong regional credibility before expanding nationally and internationally.

That strategy proved highly effective.

Years later, as the company matured and its technology platform expanded significantly, we led a broader evolution of the visual identity and branding system to better reflect the sophistication and scale of the organization.

The original mark combined a camera lens and a globe, reflecting both the company’s enforcement technology roots and its broader long-term ambitions.

After

Evolving the Original Brand Identity

We designed Global Traffic Group’s original logo and visual identity during the company’s earliest stages.

At the time, Global was focused on establishing strong regional credibility before expanding nationally and internationally.

That strategy proved highly effective.

Years later, as the company matured and its technology platform expanded significantly, we led a broader evolution of the visual identity and branding system to better reflect the sophistication and scale of the organization.

Before

The original mark combined a camera lens and a globe, reflecting both the company’s enforcement technology roots and its broader long-term ambitions.

After

We retained the recognizable orange and blue color palette, an important connection to the company’s roots and regional identity, while redesigning the brand into a cleaner, more architectural system.

The new mark removes the hyphen and introduces a dimensional form that simultaneously suggests:

  • the corner of a modern building
  • stylized forms of the letters J and C
  • upward momentum, raising buildings and intentional progress
  • structure, stability, and a passion for precision

Building the Digital Foundation

We also designed and developed Global Traffic Group’s first website and early digital systems.

One important challenge was helping municipalities and transportation stakeholders understand highly technical systems and workflows that were still relatively unfamiliar at the time.

To address this, we created animations, dashboards, visual demonstrations, and explanatory materials showing how the technology operated in real-world traffic scenarios.

As the company evolved into AI-powered traffic intelligence and predictive analytics, the digital experience evolved alongside it.

Today, Global’s platform includes machine-learning-driven traffic analysis, behavioural pattern recognition, predictive roadway insights, and intelligent transportation technologies designed to support safer and more efficient communities.
